Austin salary range: $128k to $180k

We are looking for a skilled and experienced ATTORNEY LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIST to join our team at MoFo. This role is responsible for supporting attorney integration, promoting the firm's culture of L&D, and guiding attorneys in their career development. The ideal candidate will have a JD with at least four years of experience at a major law firm, a strong background in Learning and Development, and the ability to apply effective judgment and decision making. This role can be based in Austin, Boston, New York, or Washington, ., with office location flexibility.
As an ATTORNEY LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIST at MoFo, you will have the opportunity to:
- Support attorney integration by establishing touch points and building relationships with first year and lateral cohorts.
- Promote the firm's culture of L&D to attorneys through email communication, personal outreach, and office visits.
- Guide attorneys in their career development by promoting performance expectations and setting goals for success.
- Work with local leadership to promote attorney engagement and morale, and attend local and firm-wide Associate Committee meetings.
- Partner with Practice Groups to ensure consistent and effective evaluations for attorneys.
- Utilize your JD and experience at a major law firm to provide guidance and resources for attorneys on performance management and talent development.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different offices and departments to build strong relationships and promote a positive work environment.
- Contribute to the firm's commitment to diversity and inclusion by recruiting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A JD with at least four years of practice experience at a major law firm.
- Strong background in Learning and Development, with experience in talent management and instructional design preferred.
- Excellent judgment and decision making skills.
- Ability to research and evaluate training options and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Understanding of the business of law firms and how L&D can support business goals.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to handle interpersonal relationships with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all individuals in the firm.
- Comfort presenting ideas in public forums and facilitating group discussions.
- Accountability and ownership over projects and responsibilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Office location flexibility and the ability to build relationships with colleagues in different locations.
