Job Title: Personal Injury Case Manager Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The Personal Injury Case Manager Assistant is responsible for supporting the Case Managers with their daily activities and administrative tasks. The role requires working closely with the Case Managers to clear liability and prepare cases for settlement while ensuring excellent customer service is provided to clients. Key duties include:
- Screening new calls and intakes, communicating with clients, adjusters, and medical offices, and drafting and sending letters.
- Reporting third-party claims to insurance companies, as well as Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private health insurance to obtain liens.
- Requesting and organizing medical records and billing from providers, scheduling doctor’s appointments for clients, and reviewing/analyzing medical records.
- Investigating claims by confirming facts of loss and obtaining police reports, witness statements, and photographs.
- Organizing physical and electronic files.
- Answering calls from clients, attending to the immediate needs of the Case Manager, and greeting clients.
Management reserves the right to modify or add to these duties as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in pre-litigation case management. They should possess a valid driver's license and have their own transportation. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF is required, with a typing speed of at least 65 words per minute. Excellent organizational skills and time management are essential, as is the ability to adhere to strict deadlines while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Experience with the FileVine case management program is preferred but not mandatory. Spanish-speaking ability is also preferred due to the predominantly Spanish-speaking client base, although it is not a strict requirement.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Personal Injury Case Manager Assistant position ranges from $25 to $30 an hour. Salary is based on experience.

This position is full-time and requires physical presence in the office during regular business hours. Consistent attendance and punctuality are necessary, as the assistant may need to cover for the Case Manager in their absence.
