Job Title: Mid-Level Associate Attorney - Litigation

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Washington, DC, is seeking a highly capable mid-level litigation associate with strong legal writing experience, particularly in the areas of Daubert and Rule 702 motion practice. The successful candidate will have a background in product liability litigation, preferably in pharmaceutical and medical device matters, and will contribute to high-stakes cases in a collaborative and hybrid work environment.

Duties:

  • Draft briefs, including Daubert and Rule 702 motions

  • Develop a litigation strategy in coordination with senior attorneys and clients

  • Conduct depositions and assist with fact investigation

  • Manage document review and oversee discovery responses

  • Supervise junior associates and delegate tasks appropriately

  • Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants

  • Prepare legal memoranda and client updates

  • Participate in client meetings and court proceedings as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex litigation, ideally from a large law firm environment

  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting dispositive motions and managing litigation tasks

  • Substantial experience in product liability matters

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical or medical device industry litigation is a plus

  • Strong leadership and project management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Excellent academic background from a nationally recognized institution

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the District of Columbia Bar, or eligibility to waive in

  • Additional Bar admission in New York is encouraged

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing ability

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex legal issues

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
