Summary:

**Members Only**, a world leader in insurance, is currently seeking a highly skilled Claim Director to join their team in multiple locations across the United States. This individual will be responsible for analyzing contracts, policies, and applicable law to determine coverage positions, managing factual claims investigations, negotiating agreements, and evaluating claims to make recommendations for resolution plans. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of technical competence in handling high exposure claims and at least 5 years of relevant experience. A law degree is preferred, and experience directly managing defense counsel and interpreting general liability policies is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze contracts, policies, and applicable law to determine coverage positions and resolve claims on reasonable terms and value
- Conduct/manage factual claims investigations and communicate with policyholders, experts, and counsel to gather all necessary information
- Negotiate cost sharing agreements with carriers/policyholders
- Assign defense counsel and manage litigation strategy and budgets
- Evaluate claims and make recommendations for resolution plans
- Maintain physical/electronic claim files and respond to internal requests for information
- Provide excellent service to **Members Only** business partners

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with emphasis in asbestos and/or environmental claims preferred
- 4-year college degree, law degree preferred
- Experience managing defense counsel and disputed/litigated coverage matters
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret and analyze general liability policies
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in claim and financial tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and data management tools
- Organization and time management skills
- Experience in a collaborative work environment

Salary Information:

- Pay range: $92,500 to $158,000, dependent on skills and other factors
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program
