Job Title: Assistant General Counsel II

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to Financial Lines insurance executives and underwriters regarding transactional, regulatory, legal, and compliance matters impacting the business unit and the organization more broadly.
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and the product center of excellence in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing insurance policies, endorsements, applications, warranties, policyholder notices, ancillary agreements, and advertising and marketing materials. This is in connection with product lines including directors & officers (D&O) liability, professional liability, cyber liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, crime/fidelity, and kidnap & ransom insurance.
- Research and review legal and regulatory issues impacting or potentially impacting Financial Lines products.
- Collaborate with Regulatory colleagues to address regulatory matters impacting Financial Lines, including the countrywide filing of forms and rates, responding to inquiries on insurance regulatory issues, and resolving regulatory and consumer complaints.

Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in either a law firm or in-house legal department is required.
- Familiarity with Financial Lines coverages, the business of insurance, and insurance regulation is strongly preferred.
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials is required.
- Admission to practice law in at least one state is required.

Salary Information:
- For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $140,240-$175,300.
- The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
