Job Title: Corporate Attorney - Regulatory
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle legal and regulatory matters before state utility commissions and appellate courts.
- Work on complex regulatory matters in collaboration with attorneys, business units, and outside counsel.
- Manage aspects of multiple ongoing cases simultaneously.
- Draft and review legal pleadings and business documents.
- Represent the company in mediation and litigation of customer disputes.
- Provide legal support and strategic and business advice to business units on state regulatory matters.
- Assist, handle, and manage regulatory matters before various state public utility regulatory agencies.
- Engage in litigated matters and administrative rulemaking proceedings.
- Attend in-person hearings and regulatory meetings with Commission Staff and/or Stakeholders.
Education and Experience Information:
- is required.
- A minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience is required, which includes practicing law, legal writing, and handling complex legal matters.
- Must be a member in good standing of the Maryland state bar or able to meet the state requirements to practice before the Maryland Public Service Commission.
- Solid written and oral communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization is essential.
