Job Overview:
A full-service Texas-based law firm is seeking a seasoned Bankruptcy & Restructuring Attorney to join its expanding and fast-paced practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to represent creditors and debtors in high-stakes commercial bankruptcy matters, particularly in complex Chapter 11 proceedings. The position is ideal for professionals with strong experience in both litigation and transactional restructuring work, and who are looking to grow their practice within a collaborative legal environment. Candidates with a portable book of business are strongly preferred.

Duties:
Represent distressed borrowers and lenders in bankruptcy and restructuring matters
Handle complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, including litigation and transactional aspects
Provide strategic legal counsel on in-court and out-of-court restructuring
Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents related to bankruptcy litigation
Work closely with internal legal teams across practice areas
Maintain and grow client relationships and contribute to business development
Participate in firm-wide initiatives, mentoring, and collaboration
Requirements:
Extensive experience representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases
Complex restructuring experience preferred
Proven ability to manage large-scale commercial bankruptcy matters
A portable book of business is highly desirable
Demonstrated commitment to client service and collaborative practice
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in Texas or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of bankruptcy law and related commercial litigation
Strong written and verbal communication
Strategic problem-solving and legal analysis
Ability to build and maintain client relationships
Business development and cross-practice collaboration
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
