Duties
Provide legal representation in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court
Represent clients before USCIS and ICE in immigration-related matters
Draft motions, legal briefs, memos, and pleadings for immigration cases
Prepare and file appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
Draft and submit visa petitions, asylum applications, and family-based immigration filings
Maintain client relationships and provide strategic guidance on case options
Collaborate with legal staff and maintain accurate case documentation
Monitor changes in immigration law and adapt case strategy accordingly
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing immigration law
Experience handling removal defense and appearing before USCIS
Ability to manage a caseload and work independently within a small firm setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with both family-based and humanitarian immigration cases
Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation
Bilingual in Nepali, Hindi, or Tibetan (preferred but not required)
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications
Active license to practice law in the United States
Skills
Legal research and writing proficiency
Oral advocacy and courtroom presentation
Strong organizational and time management skills
