Job Title: 2026 Summer Associate - Investment Management International Placement Program
Job Responsibilities:
The 2026 Summer Associate position at the law firm involves participating in the Investment Management International Placement Program designed to cultivate exceptional law students into successful investment management lawyers. The primary responsibilities include:
- Engaging in a paid summer associate position at a sponsoring law firm US office post the second year of law school.
- Spending the final two weeks of the summer program at one of the designated international offices: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Tokyo.
- Completing the summer program and graduating from law school to receive an offer to join the firm as an entry-level associate in the investment management practice at one of the US offices.
- After two years of employment as an associate in a US office, transitioning to one of the international offices to continue working in the investment management practice.
Education and Experience Information:
Eligible candidates for the 2026 Summer Associate position must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled full-time in an ABA-accredited law school with an anticipated graduation date in 2027.
- Possess US work and travel authorization for the full duration of the program; note that US work and travel visa sponsorship is not available for the 2L or post-graduation associate programs.
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to exceptional client service.
- Show genuine interest in a career with the law firm’s investment management practice, with the end goal of residing and practicing in one of the international offices: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Tokyo.
- Preferred language skills in the languages of the designated international locations.
Salary Information:
The law firm offers summer associates a weekly salary of $4,326, which aligns with the legal industry market scale. The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on numerous factors, including prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package, which may include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, such as 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, including vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives a permanent offer of employment. Employees will be in an "at-will position," and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary and any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program at any time for reasons related to individual performance, firm or department/team performance, and market factors.
