Regular Part-Time Paralegal
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing child support cases, providing child support services, preparing pleadings and other correspondence to ensure custodial parties receive their Court ordered support payments, and providing assistance to Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys. Must have High school diploma or GED and 18 months related training and/or education beyond high school. Paralegal certificate preferred. should have Knowledge of Elkhart County courts system and operations, including laws and legal terminology, administrative regulations, and official court policies and practices. Ability to apply appropriate procedures to assigned duties accordingly is required. Must have Knowledge of standard English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and ability to type with speed and accuracy. Should have ability to prepare pleadings, petitions, related correspondence, and reports.
