Job Title: Immigration Attorney - EOIR
Job Responsibilities:
- Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients.
- Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Manage a workload of various immigration cases.
- Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
- Prepare a variety of immigration applications, including those for removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
- Review immigration applications and packets, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Engage with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
- Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients to determine necessary strategies.
- Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
- Provide legal analysis for clients to determine possible benefits of their cases.
- Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.
Education and Experience Information:
- 1-5 years of experience in Immigration Law is required.
- The candidate should be a team player willing to help, strategize, and collaborate with fellow associates.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills are required.
- A proven track record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload is essential.
- Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications is necessary.
- Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.
