Job Title: Defense Litigation Associate

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and summarizing legal documents
- Conducting comprehensive legal and factual research involving people, businesses, and worksites
- Evaluating cases to strategically develop defenses
- Conducting client meetings and recommending strategic approaches
- Investigating facts and planning, preparing, and conducting depositions
- Preparing and arguing motions in court
- Conducting hearings and mediations
- Preparing witnesses and corporate representatives for proceedings
- Briefing at trial and appellate courts
- Writing defense mediation summaries and engaging in analytical thinking

Education and Experience Information:
- Active and good standing membership with the State Bar of Georgia
- 4 - 6 years of experience in defense litigation
- Solid insurance defense experience, with professional liability and/or coverage litigation experience being advantageous
- Strong critical thinking, research, writing, analytical, and communication skills with superior attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adherence to strict deadlines
- Self-starter capable of handling multiple projects with competing priorities and understanding the importance of deadlines
- Client-focused mentality with a proactive approach to challenges
- Capacity to work flexibly and independently within a strong team
- Ability to review and interpret financial records is a plus
