Job Overview:
A boutique law firm located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a dedicated Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with a Board-Certified Bankruptcy Attorney and play a key role in guiding clients through financial restructuring and debt resolution. The role is ideal for someone passionate about helping individuals and businesses find stability during financial hardship, while working in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.
Duties:
Handle an expanding portfolio of consumer Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters
Conduct consultations and follow-up meetings with clients, offering compassionate and professional support
Collaborate with legal support staff and attorneys to ensure timely case progression
Represent clients at bankruptcy hearings, including 341 Meetings and Confirmation Hearings
Support the firm’s mission to deliver hope and second chances to clients facing financial crises
Requirements:
Active license to practice law in the State of Florida
Interest or prior experience in bankruptcy law preferred
Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills for working with clients in distress
Ability to manage a caseload independently with attention to detail and deadlines
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and client service
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to the Florida Bar (Required)
