Job Overview:
A prestigious creditors' rights law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Florida office. This position offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of legal responsibilities, including assisting with Florida-specific legal practices, handling hearings, and ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of legal experience and possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Location:

  • Plantation, FL

Duties:

  • Assist with the firm’s Florida practice.
  • Handle hearings in the state of Florida.
  • Develop strategies to resolve cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Review conditions precedent to filing actions, including documents, financials, notices, and demand letters.
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate actions.
  • Maintain and update internal systems with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections laws.
  • Manage contested matters, including discovery and trials.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all dealings.

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of legal experience.
  • Prior collections experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze legal issues, present corrective action recommendations, and work independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Florida is required.

Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced computer and office skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload and maintain accuracy under pressure.
