Fall Internship Program at Sen. Cruz's Office offers Texas students an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the inner workings of Congress. The program has two six-week sessions during the summer, as well as full-semester internships in both the spring and fall. The internship is in-person only and does not have a remote work option.

Interns will work during normal office hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm in Texas and from 9 am to 6 pm in Washington, . The program is highly competitive, with limited space and resources available. Priority is given to students from Texas or those enrolled in a Texas school who have completed at least their sophomore year of college.

Internships are available in multiple locations, including Washington, ., Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and McAllen. The fall internship deadline is the first Friday in July, with completed packets due by July 4, 2025.

Paid internships in Washington, . are available, and students may also have the opportunity to receive course credit pending approval from their college or university. The internship program also includes a reading program and discussions on American history, the role of government, and citizen engagement with elected officials and their offices.

Interns will be supervised by the Director of their selected office location and will receive weekly feedback and coaching on their performance. They will also have the opportunity to assist with regional outreach and constituent relations, as well as various office activities such as answering phones, processing correspondence, and legislative research.
