Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Litigation Associate to join its Intellectual Property & Technology Litigation practice group in the Minneapolis office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in complex litigation, particularly in intellectual property and technology cases. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while engaging in high-stakes litigation. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong academic credentials, excellent writing and research skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and peers. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Minnesota, with admission before the United States Patent & Trademark Office being a plus.

Duties:
Handle complex patent litigation matters, including pre-litigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Draft and review legal pleadings, briefs, motions, and other documentation.
Conduct legal research on patent law and related areas of intellectual property.
Manage client relationships, providing legal advice and strategies for intellectual property matters.
Work closely with partners, senior associates, and clients on case strategy and legal arguments.
Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials.
Collaborate with colleagues and experts in preparing for and executing litigation strategies.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in patent litigation or intellectual property and technology cases.
Strong academic credentials, including a law degree from an accredited law school.
Excellent writing and research skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Experience in managing complex litigation matters and legal projects.
Must be admitted or eligible to become admitted to practice law in Minnesota.
Admission to the United States Patent & Trademark Office is preferred but not required.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the Minnesota Bar (or eligibility to become admitted).
Admission to the United States Patent & Trademark Office (preferred but not required).
