Associate Attorney Responsibilities: Will represent clients in all phases of federal and state litigation matters. Work on challenging and diverse litigation cases arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, NYLL, NYCHRL, NYSHRL, and assist the firms other attorneys with a variety of commercial and litigation matters, as well as corporate transactional work. Will actively manage their caseload of litigation, but will be guided and supervised by the firms partners.

The candidate will have experience in all phases of litigation from inception including drafting responsive pleadings such as Answers and initial pleading documents like Complaints. should also have experience in conducting discovery in both federal and state court which include drafting written discovery requests and responses, drafting discovery motions to the Court, taking depositions of adverse parties as well as trial preparation work including drafting of jury instructions, Joint Pretrial Orders ( JPTO s), Motions in Limine, and other evidentiary motion practice prior to trial. Excellent writing and negotiating skills are required. Experience in Labor and Employment law is preferred. Experience in Civil/Commercial Litigation is required. Admission to the NYS Bar is required. Admission into the Southern District or Eastern District of New York is preferred.
