Location:

  • Hartford, CT

Duties:

  • Litigate personal injury cases involving automobile and premises liability in Connecticut state courts

  • Work directly with clients, partners, and team members to develop medical and factual evidence

  • Draft and file pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal documents

  • Research complex legal issues in both State and Federal cases

  • Argue discovery motions before the court

  • Oversee the court approval process for wrongful death and minor settlement cases

  • Manage all litigation stages including pre-litigation, discovery, and settlement preparation

  • Track service of process, manage filing deadlines, and ensure statute of limitations compliance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage personal injury cases independently from start to finish

  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset

  • Compassionate, client-focused approach aligned with values of ethical representation

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment

  • High attention to detail and organizational discipline

  • Comfort and proficiency with legal technology and Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Connecticut State Bar (required)

  • Additional bar admissions in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia are a plus

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills

  • Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation abilities

  • Ability to handle complex litigation and client communications

  • Technologically savvy and adaptable to new software tools
