Salary Information:
- Base salary: $119,638 + $4,775 location pay

Job Title:
- Associate Court Attorney JG - 30
Experience Information:
- Admission to New York State Bar
- 5 years of relevant legal experience
- Up to 18 months of pre-admission experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze complex legal issues and questions
- Supervise attorneys and support staff in one or more courts
- Serve in a confidential capacity under supervision of judges
- Assigned to judges in various courts including Supreme Court, County Court, Surrogate's Court, Court of Claims, Family Court, District Court, Criminal Court, Civil Court of the City of New York, and City Courts with two or more full-time judges
- May be assigned to Acting Justices of the Supreme Court for one full term or less
- Assist with on-boarding and training of new court attorneys
- Liaise with court staff, counsel, and outside agencies
- Assist with equal justice initiatives and community-based outreach
- Review and respond to complaint letters
- Identify cases appropriate for ADR referrals
- Assist with managing caseloads of retired or on-leave judges
- Provide court attorney assistance when necessary
- Review adoptions and support objections
- Participate in court committees and sub-committees
- Assist with special projects coordinated by supervising judge
General Information:
- Position may require reassignment to any position in the same title within the promotion unit
