Job Title: Fall 2025 Legal Internships
**Job Responsibilities:**
1. **Engaging Legal Experience:**
- Interns will become integral members of high-volume trial lawyer teams.
- Participate actively in all facets of the criminal justice system, including courtroom experience, client interactions, and research and writing opportunities.
2. **Courtroom Exposure:**
- Under the supervision of experienced trial attorneys, interns may appear on the record in actual courtrooms, gaining real-world experience and confidence.
3. **Comprehensive Orientation and Reviews:**
- Attend in-depth orientation and comprehensive reviews scheduled in January, May, and September to prepare for roles and address queries.
4. **Flexible Terms:**
- Internships are available during the Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall terms, catering to interns’ availability and academic schedules.
5. **Win-Win Collaboration:**
- Gain practical exposure and hone legal skills while contributing to the capacity for providing top-quality legal representation.

- Social Work Internships
- Investigation Internships
- Finance and Business Internships
7. **Internship Schedules:**
- Commit to a minimum of two days per week, dedicating 4 to 6 hours each day (8 to 12 hours weekly).
- Social work and investigator interns may have varied schedules based on school requirements and office caseloads.
- Potential collaboration with the Arraignment Division on weekends for weekend arraignments.
8. **Earning Course Credit:**
- Students can acquire course credit through their universities.
- Coordinate necessary arrangements with universities and communicate volunteer hour requirements to program coordinators.
9. **Internship Start Date(s):**
- Begin the internship within one week of the designated orientation date.
- Option to join a waitlist if unable to start within the specified timeframe.
**Education and Experience Information:**
- Applicants must be enrolled in law school or an accredited college.
- A strong academic record and a genuine passion for criminal law and public defense are essential.
- The application process is competitive, requiring a commitment to justice, integrity, and a desire to positively impact clients' lives.
**Salary Information:**
- The internships are unpaid positions, though they often qualify for course credit at the interns’ respective educational institutions.
