Job Title: Paralegal, USG
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support on FOIA/public records requests, which includes proposing redactions, managing the intake of requests, documenting related actions, and handling day-to-day management of FOIA-related administrative tasks.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of corporate records for the company's US public sector business, including board meeting minutes, resolutions, and bylaws.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's US public sector business.
- Support internal audits or investigations related to government contracting compliance issues.
- Draft and review non-disclosure agreements.
- Conduct legal research on topics such as federal and state regulatory and statutory requirements and case law, summarizing findings for attorneys or other stakeholders within the company.
- Maintain legal department files, databases, and records.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for colleagues on legal topics related to government contracting regulations and best practices.
- Assist with the development and management of a central depository of knowledge assets for the team, including contract templates, disclaimers, and standard documents.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business or legal studies is preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant experience at a legal/professional services firm or in an in-house legal department.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Confident team player who is highly collaborative and flexible.
- Self-starter with the ability to drive tasks and projects to completion.
- Ability to develop relationships and network within and outside the company.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
