Job Description:

- Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company
- Handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more
- Participate in thrilling trials, arbitrations, and mediations
- Provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams
- Monitor new laws and regulations to ensure strategies remain sharp
- Constantly face new challenges and victories in this dynamic role

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and reports
- Prepare and draft legal documents
- Interview clients and witnesses and maintain communication records
- Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations
- Participate in training and mentorship programs

Education and Minimum Requirements:

- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
- 0-4 years of professional work experience
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and legal ethics
- Familiar with negotiation techniques and strategies
- Must be able to commute to courthouses throughout the greater New York area
