Job Title: Subrogation & Recovery Department - Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent corporate clients in Federal and State Courts, handling civil actions related to property damage.
- Collaborate with a variety of forensic experts to investigate and evaluate the legal and financial viability of different causes of action in both single and multi-party litigation.
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, motions, and briefs.
- Prepare for, attend, and present at court hearings.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Excellent academic credentials demonstrating strong legal aptitude.
- Admission to the Florida bar is required.
- Minimum of five years of litigation experience, preferably prosecuting and/or defending product defect claims, property damage claims, construction issues, or property insurance claims.
- Experience working with various forensic experts (., fire origin and cause, mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, chemical; material, human factors, accounting, and standard of care) is highly desired.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and presenting oral arguments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
