Job Title: Legal Business Associate - Senior
Job Responsibilities:
As a Legal Business Associate - Senior in the department, you will engage in multiple responsibilities aimed at enhancing and transforming legal functions through technology. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Client Management: Engage with clients' project teams and company project leadership to facilitate effective communication and project alignment.
- Delivery: Collaborate with a team to optimize tax and legal processes, leveraging technology to tailor tax and legal software to meet clients’ specific requirements and objectives.
- Solutions: Work alongside a team to develop and implement automation and innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency of tax and legal departments.
- Support: Offer training and software support related to processes, technologies, or situational changes in day-to-day activities.
- Project Management: Assist with project management tasks including creating work plans, tracking budgeted time against actual hours, writing status reports, and participating actively in status calls.
- Cross Functional Teaming: Comprehend and communicate the broader practice and the company’s overall capabilities. Maintain relationships and serve clients holistically.
- People Development: Contribute to the development and growth of team members.
- Business Development: Participate in and contribute to pursuit teams aimed at acquiring new business.
Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring co-location in person 2-3 days per week for US Tax professionals.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, based on the work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience with legal and/or technology solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with at least one of the following:
- Implementation experience with CLM (contract lifecycle management) software such as Agiloft, SirionOne, or Icertis.
- Experience with document extraction tools, data wrangling tools like Alteryx, and visualization/BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Experience with DocuSign CLM or Salesforce configuration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in any relevant field.
- Experience with template rationalization and harmonization, guide or playbook creation, and designing contracting processes.
Licensure and Certifications:
- One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed Attorney (or foreign equivalent)
- Enrolled Agent
- PMP (Project Management Certification)
- Contract & Commercial Management (CCM) Certification Program
- Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (Project Management Institute-ACP)
- Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- Procurement/Legal Procurement or SAS® Certified Data Scientist
- Paralegal Certification with a 4-year degree
- Technical Certifications in areas like Six Sigma, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer, Certified Systems Engineering Professional, Information Systems Security Architecture Professional, DocuSign, iCertis, Onit Product Suite, Conga CLM, Agiloft, Sirion Labs, Kira, Thomson Reuters, Wolters Kluwer Passport, Mitratech Team Connect and TAP.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this role is $89,180 to $203,060, which considers various factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is noted that hiring decisions typically do not place individuals at the top of the range, with compensation decisions being dependent on the specifics of each case.
Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the governing rules of the program, with awards based on individual and organizational performance.
