Job Description:
The Corporate Paralegal will support the legal team and operating companies of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., a global business services provider with over 500 locations worldwide. This role will involve conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, managing cases, and performing other legal tasks as required. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and work under pressure. This position reports directly to the Segment General Counsel for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., Life Safety Services Segment and will support approximately fifteen different operating companies across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support attorneys in preparing legal documents and related pleadings.
- Manage cases from initial intake through completion of trial or settlement, including trial preparation, and completion of legal forms, correspondence, tracking case progression and deadlines, and coordination of discovery.
- Review and process all subpoenas, requests for production of documents, and liens, ensuring that all corresponding deadlines are met.
- Maintain and manage legal policies and procedures related to legal holds, data collection, records/retention, service of process, guidelines for outside counsel, etc.
- Assist and manage legal hold process including implementation of legal holds, custodian terminations, and release of legal holds.
- Maintain major litigation reports in coordination with risk management.
- Draft and review legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
- Draft corporate resolutions/minutes.
- Organize and manage claim files, including maintaining and updating case management software.
- Assist in the management of legal invoices and billings from outside counsel.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office records.
- Support corporate legal department functions, including maintaining corporate records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited program preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- In-depth knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research and preparing legal documents.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Knowledge of case management software and other legal technology.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
