Job Responsibilities:
- Engage with internal clients and senior management, playing a key role in Compliance, Ethics, and Regulatory Services as well as at an enterprise level in the company.
- Maintain knowledge of constantly changing legal and regulatory environments, the positions taken by regulatory agencies, general business conditions, and company strategy to deliver accurate, practical, and applicable legal and regulatory advice.
- Act as a collaborative partner to assigned business areas, prepare initial research, factual information, counsel, and guidance on basic legal questions or issues, usually in support of more senior attorneys.
- Draft documentation for various administrative concerns including employment and immigration law, data privacy, property leases, contracts, risk, and compliance management.
- Assist in the preparation of cases, reviewing complex documents.
- Maintain knowledge of the client's current business activities, as well as an awareness of applicable statutory laws, regulations, and judicial developments.
- Understand the regulatory environment affecting business and represent the company's interests externally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (.) is required.
- Must have passed the WA State Bar Exam or be eligible to pass the bar and have two (2) years of experience in a major law firm, corporate setting, or government agency providing legal services in a progressive legal environment to business or government clients (required).
- Six (6) years of corporate experience in a healthcare or not-for-profit setting is preferred.
- Maintains a strong command of general legal principles and growing expertise in the area of specialization and business knowledge.
- Ability to identify and evaluate the degree of legal risks associated with an issue.
- Understand the regulatory environment affecting business and represent the company's interests externally.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with limited resources and meet aggressive project timelines.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this role is $131, - $224,, with the range being used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
- The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
- Compensation will be discussed further during the interview process to ensure open communication and better outcomes for all parties involved.
Additional Information:
- The role is classified as Hybrid, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work.
- The work environment is a normal office setting with ambient temperatures, requiring the ability to travel occasionally, including overnight travel at times.
- The role is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, including the human body.
- The role requires the ability to keyboard and to communicate clearly and understandably in person and over the telephone.
