Accounting Manager

Job Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager at the law firm is tasked with overseeing the accounting operations, which include the production of financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, and implementing controls to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of financial results. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing and overseeing the accounting team.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings for CFO review, including client cost statements, journal entries, payables, expense reimbursements, and bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls and best practices, and driving process improvements to increase efficiencies.
- Implementing and monitoring reports to ensure data integrity.
- Managing cash flow, including daily deposits, trust and operating account wires, and accurate ledger entries.
- Reconciling bank statements for firm accounts.
- Calculating bonus payouts across multiple plans.
- Identifying savings opportunities in operating expenses.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including team management experience.
- Strong leadership skills and extensive General Ledger (GL) and operational accounting experience.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Ability to manage requests from multiple departments and prioritize appropriately.
- Ability to work in-office 5 days a week (8am-5pm).

Salary Information:
The compensation package for the Accounting Manager position includes:

- A salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 base, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
