The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join their remote team. This position is based in California and requires in-person appearances for board meetings. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of litigation experience and be licensed to practice law in the assigned jurisdictions. They must also possess strong advocacy, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience Information:
- Minimum 4 years of litigation experience

Position Overview:
- Investigate and manage Workers' Compensation cases from start to finish
- Work with adjusters and clients to resolve claims in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Handle routine motion practice, discovery, and research
- Attend depositions, hearings, conferences, and trials
- Travel to boards as needed
- In-person appearances required for board meetings

Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of litigation experience
- Licensed to practice law in assigned jurisdictions
- Strong advocacy and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Lexis/Westlaw, and email/calendar management
- Able to work in a team environment
- Strong investigative and legal research skills
- Familiar with courtroom behavior and regulations
- Dedication to providing high-quality service to clients and claims professionals
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to use a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
