Job Responsibilities:
The Court Procedures Clerk is an integral part of the Court Procedures Group, performing a range of responsibilities related to court filings, docketing, and calendaring functions. The Clerk works under the direction of the Court Procedures Managing Clerks and is tasked with various duties that are essential to the operations of the law firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting rules compliance reviews for documents submitted for filing with courts across all federal and state jurisdictions in the .
- Filing and serving documents with the appropriate courts.
- Undertaking docket research and document retrieval tasks.
- Assisting in the preparation, issuance, and service of process and subpoenas.
- Supporting the initiation of legal actions both electronically and manually in federal and state courts.
- Participating in the CM/ECF electronic filing rotation by assisting in the registration process and managing the electronic court filing workload.
- Performing daily court runs to federal and local state courts.
- Providing assistance and support for the firm's litigation docketing and calendaring system known as Goodwin LED.
