Job Title: Personal Injury Case Manager

Job Responsibilities:

As a Personal Injury Case Manager at the law firm, you will be essential in facilitating the legal team's operations through a variety of administrative and organizational tasks aimed at ensuring effective case management. Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

- Case Coordination and Administration: Assist attorneys by organizing and maintaining comprehensive case files, docketing critical deadlines, facilitating billing processes, and providing necessary reminders to ensure adherence to legal timelines.

- Detailed Case Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of case files, verifying numbers and relevant data to support case progress. Implement regular audits of case files to ensure accuracy and completeness of information, ensuring alignment with legal requirements.

- Interdepartmental Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between attorneys, support staff, and external vendors. Manage the firm’s caseload, present case summaries and updates, and ensure all parties are aligned with current and upcoming requirements.

- Document Management and Monitoring: Maintain and organize necessary documentation and monitor case statuses. Address specific issues that may arise, such as conflicts or overlaps in attorney-client relationships.

- Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive research to acquire documentation relevant to cases, including health insurance data, social security information, medical records, and details from medical providers.

- Client Interaction: Directly answer client questions when possible and refer them to the attorney when necessary. Maintain regular communication with clients and outside counsel to update on case status and resolve inquiries.

- Scheduling and Time Management: Schedule court cases, hearings, and attorney-client meetings. Oversee case time management and client billing.

- Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents: Prepare initial drafts of legal documents for attorney review and scrutinize documents to ensure they meet all legal and firm-specific requirements.

- Insurance and Medical Coordination: Collaborate closely with insurance companies and adjustors to initiate and maintain client payments. Coordinate with various medical providers to collect essential information needed for client cases, ensuring timely and accurate case progress.

Education and Experience Information:

- A Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or a related field is preferred.
- Certification or degree as a paralegal is highly preferred.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary Information:

- The base pay range for this position is between $43,000 and $60,000 per year, as estimated by Glassdoor.
- The median salary is approximately $51,000 per year.
- All offers are contingent on a background check.
