Job Title: Legal Executive Assistant - Patent Litigation
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Executive Assistant (LEA) at the law firm is tasked with supporting multiple lawyers, particularly in the Patent Litigation department. The role involves proactively managing the day-to-day functions of a partner's practice, allowing the partner to focus on building and maintaining their practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Completing major assignments and a broad variety of tasks in support of the partner's practice.
- Exercising judgment and delegating administrative tasks and document work to other Legal Support Services team members while maintaining responsibility for and tracking all activities to successful completion.
- Collaborating with peers to provide team support and coverage.
- Supporting the Patent Litigation trial team, which may involve travel.
- Exercising discretion and professional judgment with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Planning, coordinating, and ensuring attorney Outlook calendars are maintained, identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts, and coordinating complex travel itineraries.
- Working closely with attorneys to keep them informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, preparing materials in advance, and following up appropriately.
- Successfully completing critical deliverables with a proactive, hands-on approach, including drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and other tasks to facilitate the partner's ability to effectively build their practice.
- Handling extensive direct interaction with clients and outside business contacts.
- Preparing agendas, reports, and presentations, and composing sometimes confidential correspondence.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships, ensuring teams work together efficiently and effectively, providing clear direction and constructive feedback on projects and assignments.
- Coordinating department or practice group meetings, preparing logistics, and engaging appropriate parties to ensure successful meetings.
- Participating in practice group and client team meetings, preparing meeting agendas, reviewing materials for accuracy and completeness, and distributing them to attendees.
- Maintaining paper and electronic filing systems, ensuring compliance with Information Governance policies and procedures.
- Overseeing billing matters, including prebilling tasks, international billing, liaising with billers and collections teams, and monitoring client budgets for reporting purposes.
Education and Experience Information:
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum Years of Experience:
- 5 years of professional executive administrative experience supporting partners and/or executives.
- Preferred experience with supporting Patent Litigation, ITC, and IPR filings.
Desired Skills:
- Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with peers, lawyers, clients, business professionals, and various firm departments.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Information:
The law firm's expected hiring range for this position is - per hour, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and will receive overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. The compensation offered will also depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. The law firm offers a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally.
Work Environment:
