Job Title:
Senior Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Counsel at the company will play a critical role in supporting the procurement, information technology, commercial services, and regulatory activities. The responsibilities include:

- Reviewing and negotiating procurement-related contracts, such as vendor, contractor, engineering, supplier, and service-level agreements.
- Providing legal advice to procurement teams on issues like contract interpretation, risk management, compliance, and contract disputes.
- Reviewing and negotiating information technology-related contracts, including software licenses, subscription agreements, master service agreements, consulting agreements, and statements of work.
- Structuring, drafting, negotiating, and facilitating commercial transactions related to petroleum products, natural gas, environmental attributes, and other commodity and energy management services. This includes transportation agreements, leases, terminal storage agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Effectively managing outside counsel in a cost-effective manner, whether transactional, litigation, or compliance in nature.
- Developing a strong rapport and working relationship with business teams to ensure the delivery of effective and high-quality legal services aligned with business needs.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Senior Counsel position should meet the following qualifications:

- . Degree required.
- Must be licensed to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction and able to register as Authorized In-House Counsel in the principal work location.
- A minimum of 8+ years of progressively responsible corporate/commercial legal experience is required. This experience should preferably include time spent with both a multi-national law firm and an established corporate law department.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Candidates must be able to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize assignments.
- The ability to multi-task and demonstrate a sense of urgency is necessary.
- A practical, solution-oriented problem-solving approach is expected.
- Candidates should be able to interact confidently and respectfully with peers as well as others through every level of the organization.
- Maintaining the highest degree of ethics and preserving absolute confidentiality is critical.
- Willingness and ability to travel as business needs dictate is required.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Senior Counsel position is $121, to $200,. The compensation range is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate’s compensation. Typically, salaries at the time of hire are in the lower to middle portion of the range to provide the opportunity for future performance-based increases.
