Job Responsibilities:
Interns in the EDGE program will engage in a variety of tasks designed to introduce them to the realm of Intellectual Property (IP). The primary responsibilities include:
- Performing patent and technical research and writing.
- Reviewing patent applications and drafting documents for attorney review.
- Researching and reporting on patent filings.
- Undertaking other duties and projects as assigned by their direct report.
Interns will work closely with intellectual property professionals and participate in the patent engineer, scientist, and agent program. Throughout the internship, they will develop skills in research and writing, gaining exposure to the latest technologies and technical advancements. Each intern will be paired with an experienced Intellectual Property professional who will serve as a mentor, helping them set goals and providing access to necessary tools for success. At the conclusion of the internship, participants will receive a formal performance appraisal and feedback.
