Job Title: Managing Director, Forensics
Job Responsibilities:
The Managing Director, Forensics is tasked with a diverse range of responsibilities centered around business development, client engagement, staff management, and industry leadership. Key duties include:
- Developing business opportunities by leveraging relationships, contacts, and other avenues to foster growth.
- Leading and participating actively in client discussions and meetings, ensuring effective communication and delivery of clear, concise, and accurate documents and requests.
- Analyzing the current business environment to understand client needs, assess risks, and identify recommendations or areas for improvement.
- Initiating and leading the development of business opportunities and proposals tailored to the Forensics Practice and other business lines.
- Crafting industry-specific thought leadership articles and communications to enhance the firm's presence and expertise in the market.
- Developing and executing a business development plan that identifies opportunities for growth within the Forensics Practice and beyond.
- Assisting in the creation of targeted and industry-specific marketing materials.
- Monitoring and implementing industry trends and best practices to foster a positive, team-focused environment.
- Performing other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day workload of various staff assigned to assist with pursuits and opportunities.
- Acting as a Career Advisor to Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates, guiding their professional development.
- Evaluating the performance of Compliance Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates, and assisting in the development of goals and objectives to enhance their professional growth.
- Performing other supervisory duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- An MBA or JD is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of eight years of experience in developing business and managing relationships is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer risk rating tools is preferred.
- Strong business development skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work independently or in a group setting are essential.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills, with a strong focus on delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, solid organizational skills, and the ability to meet project deadlines with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels and manage a team of professionals, delegating work assignments as needed.
- Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel and internal teams.
- Ability to foster a team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel.
Salary Information:
Salaries for the Managing Director, Forensics position are determined after considering various factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geographical location. The salary ranges are as follows:
- National Range: $200,000 - $400,000
- Maryland Range: $200,000 - $400,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $200,000 - $400,000
