Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney with 8–10 years of experience to join its team in Omaha, Nebraska. The role involves providing comprehensive legal counsel in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related probate matters, primarily for high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent client service skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Location:

  • Omaha, NE

Duties:

  • Advise clients on estate planning matters, including drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney

  • Assist clients with trust and estate administration and probate proceedings

  • Provide fiduciary representation and manage complex trust structures

  • Collaborate with clients' financial and tax advisors to design personalized estate plans

  • Represent clients in probate court and related legal matters

  • Ensure compliance with estate and gift tax laws and implement tax planning strategies

  • Maintain and manage long-term client relationships with professionalism and confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in estate planning law

  • Demonstrated knowledge of trust and estate administration, as well as tax planning for high-net-worth individuals

  • Experience managing complex estate plans with minimal oversight

  • Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work

  • Proven track record of professional autonomy and initiative

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice law in the State of Nebraska

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of probate, estate, and trust law

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice
