Job Title: Legal Internship, Fall
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Legal Internship Program during the fall semester.
- Work within one of the various bureaus and divisions of the Attorney General's Office, such as the Health Care and Fair Competition Bureau or the Medicaid Fraud Division.
- Assist in the investigation and prosecution of health care providers who abuse MassHealth.
- Review complaints of abuse, neglect, mistreatment, and financial exploitation of patients in long-term care facilities.
- Support the assigned division with legal research, case preparation, and other related duties as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in law school to be eligible for the legal internship program.
- Individuals who have completed law school are not eligible for this internship program.
- Legal interns are accepted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the needs and requests of individual divisions within the Attorney General's Office.
Salary Information:
- The internship positions are unpaid.
Additional Information:
- The Legal Internship Program is available for both fall and spring semesters.
- Applicants must submit a resume and cover letter stating their areas of interest and availability to the Legal Intern Coordinator.
- Applications are reviewed by the Legal Intern Coordinator and forwarded to appropriate divisions for further review.
- Divisions will notify applicants directly if they are selected for an interview.
