Job Title: Employee Relations Manager, Employee Experience and Relations
Job Responsibilities:
The Employee Relations Manager is tasked with supporting the North American Employee Relations team within the department, focusing on Field Operations across fulfillment and logistics business lines. The primary objective is to ensure fair, respectful, and consistent treatment of employees in alignment with the company's core business values and objectives. The responsibilities of the position are divided into proactive and reactive categories. The candidate will need to:
- Detect and Mitigate Risks: Utilize expertise in employee and labor relations to identify trends, gaps, and challenges, and execute strategies and programs to mitigate risks.
- Crisis Management: Reactively handle crisis-oriented partner issues under time constraints, exercising excellent judgment.
- Project Management: Independently manage large-scale, network-wide projects that improve frontline partner experience and are delivered on time.
- Analyze and Interpret Data: Use analytical skills to develop narratives and recommendations based on data and anecdotes, defining and measuring program success.
- Communicate Effectively: Produce high-quality written communications, design, and deliver engaging training sessions.
- Collaborate: Build relationships with critical stakeholders to share information and influence change.
- Problem Solve: Work independently in ambiguous situations, overcoming barriers to drive resolutions.
- Work at Scale: Launch and manage sustainable mechanisms across entire networks.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law, with an emphasis on labor and employee relations.
- A successful track record of creating, improving, and executing programs at scale.
- Strong communication skills, including extensive public speaking, training, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, with a curiosity for new learning technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An advanced degree, JD, or specialized training in labor/employee relations is preferred.
- Leadership experience in distribution, logistics, and/or transportation industries is highly desired.
- Experience building and launching programs that positively impact engagement.
- Experience analyzing metrics to drive improvements in the employee experience.
- Comfort in a fast-paced environment, managing through ambiguity and change.
- A solid sense of accountability, high-quality judgment, and sound decision-making.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
- Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when appropriate.
Salary Information:
The base pay for this position ranges from $114,600/year in the lowest geographic market up to $205,900/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is influenced by market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The company offers a total compensation package that may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
