Job Title: Employee Relations Manager - Devices and Artificial General Intelligence, Global Corporate Employee Resources
Job Responsibilities:
The Employee Relations Manager for Devices and Artificial General Intelligence (Devices/AGI) is a pivotal role within the Global Corporate Employee Resources (GCER) team at the company. This role is designed for an individual with extensive experience in employee relations, subject matter expertise, and strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. The primary objective of this position is to ensure that the treatment of every employee is fair, respectful, and aligns with the company's core business values, policies, and objectives as they strive to be the Earth's Best Employer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with business leaders and HR teams to create and sustain positive employee relations programs and best practices.
- Engaging directly with employees at all levels to identify, address, and resolve concerns through listening sessions, focus groups, conflict resolution, and one-on-one coaching.
- Analyzing, diagnosing, designing, and revising people programs, policies, and practices to maintain positive employee relations.
- Reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on case data to identify trends, areas of opportunity, and required actions.
- Managing a balance between proactive efforts and urgent responses to critical employee relations issues, including conducting workplace investigations and advising on challenging employee situations.
- Working as a project manager on proactive initiatives to improve employee relations and engagement.
The role requires significant travel, up to approximately 30% of the time over the course of the year, and reports to the Principal, GCER, Devices/AGI.
Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Seven years of direct experience in employee relations or employment/labor law with an emphasis on employee relations work.
- Experience working with and applying employment and labor laws throughout the United States.
- Experience in assessing complex data sets, developing recommendations based on assessments, and influencing actions by PXT (People Experience and Technology) and/or business leaders.
- Technical proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree, law degree, or specialized training in labor/employee relations.
- Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills for establishing productive partnerships and working collaboratively across multiple management levels and personalities.
- Labor Relations knowledge and experience.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to independently develop effective executive-level messaging, reports, and presentations.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills in a highly ambiguous environment, with the capacity to work autonomously to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative data to identify root causes, recognize patterns, and develop creative, innovative solutions for complex problems.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Salary Information:
The compensation for this position reflects the cost of labor across several . geographic markets. The base pay ranges from $114,600 per year in the lowest geographic market to $205,900 per year in the highest geographic market. Pay is determined by several factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a total compensation company, the company may offer equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
