Job Title: Litigation - Appellate Junior/Midlevel Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join their busy appellate litigation practice. The role involves handling appellate-level litigation matters primarily in the firm's Washington, . or California offices. The successful candidate will engage in significant legal research and writing, preparing appellate briefs, and potentially presenting oral arguments. The associate will work closely with senior attorneys and partners, contributing to the development of case strategies and providing support in complex appellate cases. Responsibilities also include staying updated with relevant legal precedents and changes in appellate procedures.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate should have experience in appellate-level litigation matters, with a preference for those who have clerked for a federal court of appeals. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials, demonstrating a strong understanding of legal principles and practices. Strong writing and research skills are essential, as these are critical components of appellate law practice. Experience with law review or similar legal publications is preferred, indicating a candidate's proficiency in legal analysis and writing.
Salary Information:
For positions in California and Washington, ., the salary wage range for this job posting is between $225,000 to $435,000. The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
