Job Title: Deputy Attorney General - Consumer Protection/Antitrust and Complex Litigation

Job Responsibilities:
The Deputy Attorney General is responsible for enforcing state and federal laws that protect consumers from fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices. This role involves civil litigation to enforce the Oklahoma Consumer Protection Act, the Oklahoma Antitrust Reform Act, and other relevant state statutes. Key responsibilities include:

- Organizing, directing, and supervising the Antitrust and Complex Litigation section of the Consumer Protection Unit (CPU).
- Collaborating with the Deputy Attorney General of the Consumer Advocacy section of CPU.
- Assigning, directing, and supervising the work of subordinate attorneys, ensuring proper preparation and filing of litigation matters, conducting discovery, drafting motions and pleadings, representing the office in court hearings, and taking matters to trial as needed.
- Supervising support staff to ensure efficient unit operations.
- Actively participating in strategy discussions and appearing in court proceedings as required.
- Collaborating with counterparts in other states to investigate and litigate unlawful practices on regional and national scales.
- Reviewing and assigning multistate matters to staff as appropriate.
- Preparing weekly reports for the Attorney General and leadership team on current and upcoming cases and other developments.
- Attending national litigation strategy sessions, conferences, and training.
- Providing mentoring and coordinating training opportunities for team members.
- Maintaining effective and professional communications with staff and engaging in conflict resolution as needed.
- Recommending employment actions for assigned staff, such as hiring and terminating employees.
- Analyzing and compiling statistical information for metric evaluations and reports.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- The position requires some travel, both within and outside the state.

Education and Experience Information:
Applicants must be licensed attorneys with a minimum of five years of experience in the practice of law. Strong writing and oral advocacy skills are required. Preference may be given to candidates with supervisory and/or litigation experience.

Salary Information:
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
