Law Firm Seeks Experienced Commercial Litigation Associate in Miami
Are you an experienced attorney with a background in commercial litigation? **Members Only** is seeking talented individuals to join our Miami office and work closely with our team of energetic and highly skilled legal practitioners. As a litigation associate, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a friendly and collaborative environment.
Essential Functions:
- Manage multiple legal matters from start to finish, demonstrating attention to detail and strong communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Show a strong interest in advancing your career in litigation and producing quality legal work for clients
- Assist in generating business for the firm through individual and group efforts
- Maintain high ethical standards in all aspects of your work
Competencies:
- Make informed decisions on client matters with consultation from other attorneys
- Communicate professionally and effectively in written and verbal forms
- Demonstrate leadership by delegating tasks and actively learning new skills and areas of law
- Work collaboratively within client teams and potentially lead teams in matters
- Embrace and promote the firm's values, including diversity and inclusion
Required Education:
- Juris Doctor degree
- Preferred graduate of a Top 25 law school or in the top 10% of graduating class from an accredited law school
- Positions on law school's premier law journal are a plus
Required Licenses and/or Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and in good standing
- Must maintain applicable license renewal and CLE requirements
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm
- Bilingual/multilingual speakers are encouraged to apply
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Indirectly supervise support staff or junior associates to ensure client satisfaction
Physical Activity:
- This position may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a computer
Travel Required:
- Generally less than 10%, with potential for more on a case-by-case basis
