Job Title: Assistant General Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
As an Assistant General Counsel at the company, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support in various General Practice Areas. Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing research, legal counsel, recommendations, and alternatives for legal questions and issues related to consumer and commercial secured installment/lease transactions, revolving credit, debt collection, litigation, and bankruptcy.
- Offering legal advice on banking and payment services, as well as data privacy and information security.
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial or technology documents, including opinions, contracts, notices, agreements, registrations, and licenses.
- Exploring and assessing legal requirements for new tech tools and AI resources.
- Managing all aspects of litigation and alternative dispute resolution with adverse parties to ensure favorable outcomes.
- Developing and executing training on legal matters to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Staying current on emerging trends in the law through continuing legal education, professional conferences, and participation in professional associations.
- Supporting projects for the company's Global Law Services Group.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited . law school is required.
- You must be licensed to practice law in Iowa or your state of residence.
- A minimum of 10 years of legal experience and expertise in General Practice Areas laws is necessary.
- Broad knowledge of the . credit industry and markets relative to the General Practice Areas is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and manage risk, anticipate legal issues, and provide strategic legal advice is required.
- Enthusiasm for technology and strong skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution are important.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is $165, to $247,, plus benefits.

Additional Information:
- This is an onsite position primarily located in Johnston, Iowa, but qualified candidates may also be considered in Chicago, IL, Des Moines, IA, or Moline, IL.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
