The Summer Associate program at the law firm in Washington, DC, provides second-year law students with the opportunity to gain practical experience by working on actual client matters. The responsibilities of summer associates include:
- Assisting with tasks typically assigned to first-year associates across various practice groups such as Antitrust, Employee Benefits, Energy & Project Development, Investment Management, IP - Disputes, Labor and Employment, Litigation, Structured Transactions, Tax, and Telecommunications, Media & Technology.
- Participating in a diverse range of training and professional development opportunities focused on enhancing presentation, oral argument, legal writing, and practice-specific skills.
- Engaging in meaningful client work while developing a comprehensive understanding of the legal profession.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be second-year law students to be eligible for the Summer Associate program. It is essential for applicants to indicate their practice group(s) of interest in their application materials.
Salary Information:
Summer associates are compensated with a weekly salary of $4,326, which aligns with the legal industry market scale.
