Job Title: Claim Director - Environmental
Salary Range: $79,300 to $134,700
Experience: 2-5 years of direct claims handling experience, environmental specialists strongly preferred
Location: Jersey City, NJ (with travel to other locations as needed)

Job Description:
- Seeking a Claim Director on the Environmental Claims team
- Responsible for handling first-party and third-party voluntary pollution claims
- Report directly to an AVP of Environmental Claims
- Part of Chubb Environmental Claims and Chubb Casualty Specialty
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of environmental and casualty
- Ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on various subjects
- Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to make prompt, intelligent decisions based on complex issues
- Demonstrated strong relational skills, particularly in high-pressure situations
- Law degree recommended but not necessary
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute claim resolution strategies
- Identify and communicate potential exposures to senior managers and internal business partners
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external business partners
- Analyze and identify coverage issues and communicate coverage positions
- Direct and monitor cases with financial impact through trial/resolution
- Set reserves within authority or make recommendations for reserve changes
- Travel to conferences, mediations, and trials as necessary (approximately 5-10% travel, potentially more as dictated by business needs)
Licensure:
- Must obtain applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license, potentially additional state licensure
