Job Title: Senior Counsel - Public Finance
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform significant and complex legal work while regularly interacting with management.
- Oversee legal research, analysis, consultation, and documentation within a framework of legal compliance and risk management.
- Manage the expense for outside counsel relationships and provide strategic direction on when to leverage outside counsel.
- Work with outside counsel by combining their advice with analysis and feedback from internal stakeholders to provide practical guidance.
- Network with outside organizations to advance legal interests and the legal health of the corporation and its industry.
- Provide transactional support and regulatory advice to the company’s national Public Finance business.
- Demonstrate knowledge of municipal bond underwriting and bank financing.
- Possess experience with a variety of municipal financing structures and the applicable Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) rules.
Education and Experience Information:
- Requires a Juris Doctorate (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
- Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years.
Salary Information:
- Base Salary: $130, – $291,
- Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education.
- This role is incentive eligible, with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
