A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Associate to join its litigation team, focusing on Hatch-Waxman and related pharmaceutical patent matters. Location:

  • Washington, DC

Duties:

  • Handle complex Hatch-Waxman litigation, including regulatory matters related to pharmaceutical patents

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents

  • Conduct all phases of fact and expert discovery

  • Collaborate with trial teams to develop litigation strategy

  • Provide counsel on IP-related regulatory concerns involving the Hatch-Waxman Act

  • Work with interdisciplinary teams including scientific, patent, and regulatory experts

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Hatch-Waxman litigation

  • Experience handling briefs, discovery, and expert witness engagement

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical and biotech intellectual property cases

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited . law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to a . state bar in good standing

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills

  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities

  • Background in life sciences or technical fields (., chemistry, biology) preferred

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work

  • Ability to work independently and within collaborative legal teams
