Taft is seeking a driven and collaborative corporate attorney with at least 4 years of M&A experience to join our team. In this hybrid role, the corporate attorney will have the opportunity to work on both Private Equity M&A deals and lead deals involving representations and warranties insurance (RWI) underwriters. This is an ideal position for someone who is looking to grow their M&A skillset and take on leadership and business development opportunities. The attorney will be responsible for coordinating subject matter experts, addressing complex issues, and utilizing technology and support staff to enhance the quality and timing of work product produced.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have hands-on experience leading M&A due diligence teams, negotiating transactions, and purchasing RWI as part of a transaction. They must also have a growth mindset and proficiency with modern real-time collaboration software tools. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a transactional attorney in a law firm setting or equivalent in-house role is required.

The salary range for this position is $175,000 – $330,000/year, and the actual compensation offer may vary based on office location, work experience, education, and skill level.

• Licensed attorney with experience in a law firm setting or equivalent in-house role
