Job Title: Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
The role of Legal Assistant/Paralegal involves supporting the transactions team within a law firm. The primary responsibilities include managing multiple attorney calendars, filing documents with various state and county systems, and drafting simple correspondence. The position requires docketing and tracking deadlines, proofing and editing documents under attorney supervision, and keeping track of all transaction documents on internal systems. Additionally, the role involves providing general administrative support to the transactions team.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Legal Assistant/Paralegal position should have at least 10 years of experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably within a high-quality law firm that emphasizes business law and/or real estate law. While a Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement. Candidates should be highly organized, proactive, and possess excellent communication, grammar, and proofreading skills. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro, are necessary. Experience with NetDocuments or other document management systems is required, and experience with securities law compliance and SEC and other regulatory filings is preferred but not mandatory. The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, manage workload priorities, and perform well under deadline pressures. A sense of humor and flexibility in learning and growing are also important traits for this role.

Salary Information:
The position is a full-time role with a competitive salary ranging from $75, to $85, per year.
