Senior Counsel-Associate General Counsel - Tax

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide quality legal services on a timely and cost-efficient basis.
- Offer legal and tax advice to business partners regarding life insurance and annuity products issued by the company, ensuring proper administration of these products.
- Counsel on legal and tax regulatory requirements, corporate policies, procedures, best practices, and strategies for managing risk.
- Analyze business plans and initiatives to identify legal risks, advising business partners on risk mitigation and best practices.
- Partner with operations management to identify and manage legal risks while developing best practices.
- Deliver timely tax advice and guidance on day-to-day legal issues and projects involving new business, in-force administrations, and claim processing.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, including those in operations, distribution, product, and litigation, as well as other staff within legal and compliance departments.

Education and Experience Information:
- 8-10 years of experience required in a law firm, governmental or administrative agency, and/or insurance or financial services company.
- An advanced degree is required: JD, LLM specializing in taxation.
- Experience with the utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources, such as generative AI.
- Legal authorization to work in the . is required, without the need for immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (., H1-B, L-1, TN, etc.).
- Ineligibility for those currently on CPT/OPT due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.

Salary Information:
- Salary range: $117,000 - $282,000.
- Actual base salary may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location.
- In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
