Job Title: Counsel, Product & Advanced Technologies - Remote USA
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with data transformation, product, and commercial teams on complex legal matters related to software and hardware development.
- Collaborate with business and subject-matter experts to provide recommendations on compliant paths forward.
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of complex legal contracts, including data sharing agreements, collaboration and AI agreements, and customer and vendor agreements, to drive new initiatives with research partners and enterprise customers.
- Provide salient legal advice to technology, product, and commercial teams to develop and launch innovative data and digital products and solutions.
- Develop and improve contractual templates, policies, and procedures related to advanced technology and digital products.
- Stay current on applicable laws, rules, regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry codes, especially concerning AI, security, healthcare, and medical devices, and share the knowledge across the legal and compliance team.
Education and Experience Information:
- JD degree from an accredited . law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree in a related field with 3+ years of related work experience.
- Previous experience in transactions or litigation in the medical diagnostics or healthcare industry is a plus.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of agreements, ranging from data sharing to collaboration, AI, and customer and vendor agreements.
- Experience in advanced technology or software product development, including but not limited to digital products and AI/ML technologies, is advantageous.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this role is $114,700-$170,000.
- This range may be modified in the future and is eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
